Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Privacy Statement

The Journal of Occupational Safety and Health (J-OSH) respects the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. Personal information collected through the journal's website will be used solely for purposes directly related to the editorial and publishing process.


Names, affiliations, email addresses, ORCID identifiers, and other personal information provided to the journal will be used for manuscript submission, peer review, editorial communication, publication, indexing, archiving, and journal administration.
J-OSH is committed to protecting personal data through appropriate administrative and technical safeguards. Personal information will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes without the individual's consent, except where required by law or necessary for journal operations (such as DOI registration, indexing services, plagiarism screening, digital preservation, or publication platforms).


The journal may use aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to improve its services and website performance. Such information cannot be used to identify individual users.


By submitting a manuscript or participating in the editorial process, users acknowledge and consent to the collection and use of their personal information in accordance with this Privacy Statement.


J-OSH regularly reviews its privacy practices to ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations and international publishing standards.
