DEPRESI DAN KORELASINYA DENGAN DOMAIN KUALITAS HIDUP PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2
Depression and Its Correlation with Quality of Life Domains among Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Pendahuluan : Pasien DM tipe 2 seringkali mengalami depresi karena tuntutan menjaga pola makan, rutin monitoring gula darah, serta penyakit komplikasi. Hal ini berpotensi memperburuk kualitas hidup penderitanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan depresi dan kualitas hidup pasien DM tipe 2. Metode: Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif korelasional dan berpendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel berjumlah 156 orang yang direkrut dengan teknik convenience sampling dari departemen rawat jalan sebuah RSUD di Sulawesi Tengah, Indonesia. Kuesioner yang digunakan yaitu Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 42 (DASS 42) dan World Health Organization Quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF). Statistik deskriptif dan analisa bivariat difungsikan dalam mendeskripsikan dan mengidentifikasi hubungan antar variabel. Hasil: Ada korelasi positif dan signifikan antara depresi dan domain psikologis kualitas hidup (r = 0,21; p < 0,01). Kesimpulan: Pasien DM tipe 2 dengan depresi yang lebih tinggi menunjukkan persepsi secara psikologis yang sudah lebih baik
