HUBUNGAN SELECTIVE CONTROL LOWER EXTREMITY DAN KEMAMPUAN BERJALAN PADA ANAK CEREBRAL PALSY TIPE SPASTIK
The Correlation Selective Control Lower Extremity and Walking Ability in Children with Spastic Crerbral Palsy

Pendahuluan: Cerebral Palsy (CP) merupakan gangguan karena lesi pada otak yang mengakibatkan beberapa permasalahan pada tonus otot, postur, dan gerakan. Tipe yang sering ditemui adalah tipe spastik. Pada tipe spastik ini letak kerusakannya pada bagian motor korteks yang akan menimbulkan spastisitas bahkan kontraktur sehingga sulit bergerak dan melakukan aktivitasnya. Gangguan pada CP spastik yang belum menjadi perhatian adalah gangguan pada selective motor control (SMC) yang merupakan salah satu faktor dalam perkembangan kemampuan motorik pada anak, dimana akan mempengaruhi kemampuan berjalannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan selective control lower extremity dan kemampuan berjalan pada anak dengan spastic cerebral palsy.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional study yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2023. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak CP spastik yang berada di YPAC Malang dan ASYA Therapy Center Mojokerto dengan usia 6 - 12 tahun dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 24 orang dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur Selective Control of the Lower Extremity (SCALE) dan Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS).
Hasil: Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis bivariat dengan menggunakan spearman’s rho dengan hasil uji spearman’s rho (p=0,000).
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara selective control lower extremity dan kemampuan berjalan pada anak dengan spastic cerebral palsy.
