Disaster Preparedness and Core Competencies on Disaster Nursing of Nursing Students

ndahuluan: Bencana yang terjadi dalam beberapa tahun terakhir terus mengalami peningkatan kejadian, baik berupa bencana alam maupun non alam seperti pandemi covid-19 dan konflik sosial. Dengan demikian maka kompetensi perawat dalam tanggap bencana sangat penting untuk menentukan keberhasilan penanggulangan bencana. Pendidikan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam kesiapsiagaan bencana perlu diberikan sejak dini bagi perawat, yang dapat dimulai sejak mahasiswa. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapsiagaan bencana dan kompetensi mahasiswa keperawatan dalam tanggap bencana menggunakan pendekatan framework ICN serta faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode: Desain penelitian menggunakan studi cross sectional yang dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa keperawatan tingkat 4 di 4 Universitas di Kota Jember dengan jumlah 225 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang dikembangkan berdasarkan framework ICN dan telah dimodifikasi oleh beberapa peneliti serta diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Kesiapsiagaan bencana dan kinerja sesuai kompetensi inti keperawatan bencana dianalisis menggunakan mean dan standar deviasi. Kesiapsiagaan bencana dan kemampuan kinerja sesuai kompetensi inti keperawatan bencana menurut karakteristik responden dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan kesiapsiagaan bencana pada mahasiswa keperawatan mempunyai nilai 2,11 dari rentang 1-5. Kompetensi inti keperawatan bencana juga mempunyai nilai rata-rata 2,64 dari rentang 1-5. Mahasiswa dengan semester lebih tinggi mempunyai pengetahuan (p=0,005) lebih tinggi mengenai kompetensi inti keperawatan bencana. Ditemukan juga bahwa mahasiswa yang mempunyai pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam keperawatan bencana maupun menjadi relawan medis (p=0,032) memiliki kinerja lebih tinggi (p=0,006). Mahasiswa yang mempunyai pengalaman kebencanaan mempunyai kesiapsiagaan bencana yang lebih tinggi (p=0,006).. Kesimpulan: pengembangan kurikulum keperawatan bencana diperlukan oleh mahasiswa keperawatan di institusi manapun.
