PENILAIAN KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK PERAWAT BERDASARKAN GLOBAL INTERPROFESIONAL THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION SCALE

Pendahuluan : Komunikasi terapeutik memiliki peranan penting dalam mencapai hasil layanan kesehatan yang optimal bagi pasien. Komunikasi yang tidak memadai berpotensi menimbulkan risiko kesehatan bagi pasien, termasuk kesalahan pengobatan dan bahaya lain yang tidak disengaja. Tujuan: Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komunikasi terapeutik perawat yang dinilai dengan Global Interprofessional Therapeutic Communication Scale. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dimana sampel penelitiannya adalah perawat di beberapa rumah sakit di Jawa Timur. Purposive sampling digunakan untuk memilih sampel penelitian dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 113 perawat. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Global Interprofessional Therapeutic Communication Scale (GITCS). Hasil: Penelitian didapatkan bahwa 47,8% responden memiliki kemampuan komunikasi terapeutik pada level rendah dan hanya sebagian kecil responden yang memiliki kemampuan komunikasi terapeutik pada level tinggi yaitu sebesar 12,4% responden. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa nilai rata-rata beberapa indikator diantaranya building trust, patient cantered dan potential barriers masih berada di bawah rata-rata sehingga mempengaruhi penilaian komunikasi terapeutik perawat.Kesimpulan: Dasar dari hubungan perawat-pasien dalam komunikasi terapeutik diantaranya adalah kepercayaan. Komunikasi yang berpusat pada pasien, yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai keperawatan serta perawat harus mampu mengidentifikasi hambatan dalam komunikasi terapeutik.
