Secara global, ulkus kaki diabetik dialami oleh sebagian pasien diabetes melitus dan menjadi salah satu beban utama dalam perawatan. Proses penyembuhan luka dapat terhambat oleh infeksi, gangguan vaskular, serta ukuran luka. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perawatan luka yang efektif, salah satunya melalui penggunaan perak sulfadiazin untuk mempercepat penyembuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbedaan hasil perawatan luka menggunakan larutan NaCl 0,9% dibandingkan dengan perawatan luka modern menggunakan perak sulfadiazin pada kasus ulkus diabetik. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus deskriptif dengan pendekatan keperawatan medikal-bedah pada seorang pasien perempuan berusia 63 tahun yang menjalani perawatan di bangsal dewasa RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Intervensi dilakukan melalui pembersihan luka menggunakan larutan NaCl 0,9%, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kombinasi larutan NaCl 0,9% dan aplikasi perak sulfadiazin. Evaluasi perbaikan luka dilakukan menggunakan Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool (BWAT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perawatan luka dengan kombinasi NaCl 0,9% dan perak sulfadiazin memberikan perbaikan kondisi ulkus diabetik yang lebih baik dibandingkan penggunaan NaCl 0,9% saja. Kombinasi tersebut terbukti lebih optimal dalam mendukung proses penyembuhan ulkus diabetik. Temuan ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi perawat dalam menerapkan perawatan luka modern berbasis bukti untuk mempercepat penyembuhan dan mengurangi risiko komplikasi pada pasien diabetes melitus.
