Penerapan airway clearance dengan suctioning berbasis minim trauma pada bayi terpasang endotracheal tube

Bayi yang terpasang endotracheal tube (ETT) di NICU berisiko mengalami penumpukan sekret yang dapat mengganggu ventilasi dan oksigenasi. Suction berbasis minimal trauma dilakukan untuk mempertahankan kepatenan jalan napas sekaligus mengurangi risiko komplikasi akibat tindakan suction. Mendeskripsikan penerapan airway clearance dengan suction berbasis minimal trauma pada bayi yang terpasang ETT di ruang NICU RS X Jakarta Barat. Studi kasus deskriptif dilakukan pada dua bayi dengan Meconium Aspiration Syndrome (MAS) yang mendapatkan ventilasi mekanik. Observasi dilakukan selama tiga hari dengan menilai saturasi oksigen (SpO?), jumlah sekret, tanda gangguan pernapasan, dan komplikasi setelah suction. Kedua bayi menunjukkan penurunan jumlah sekret setelah tindakan suction. Saturasi oksigen pada By. J tetap stabil, sedangkan pada By.A meningkat. Selama periode observasi tidak ditemukan komplikasi yang berhubungan dengan tindakan suction. Suction berbasis minimal trauma membantu mempertahankan kepatenan jalan napas, mengurangi sekret, dan meningkatkan oksigenasi tanpa menimbulkan komplikasi. Intervensi ini dapat menjadi praktik keperawatan yang aman dan efektif di NICU.
