Factors Affecting Moral Distress in Nurses: A Literature Review

Pendahuluan: Tingkat moral distress yang dialami oleh perawat cukup beragam. Namun terdapat beberapa dampak yang ditimbulkan akibat moral distress yang dapat mempengaruhi proses perawatan. Sehingga penting untuk mengidentifikasi penyebabnya.
Tujuan: Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi moral distress pada perawat.
Metode: Studi ini merupakan jenis literature review. Dalam pencarian artikel, kami menggunakan database elektronik Pubmed dan Science Direct. Artikel yang kami review adalah artikel publikasi lima tahun terakhir.
Hasil: Faktor internal yang menyebabkan moral distress adalah termasuk usia, pendidikan dan gelar, departemen tempat bekerja, sifat pekerjaan, jabatan, pendapatan bulanan serta ketidakberdayaan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Faktor eksternal yang dapat mempengaruhi moral distress adalah adanya persepsi terkait komunikasi tim yang buruk, pemberian perawatan yang tidak tepat, staffing yang tidak memadai atau kurangnya sumber daya manusia. Adapun dampak moral distress yang ditemukan pada perawat dapat menimbulkan terjadi turnover intention, burnout, dan bulliying di tempat kerja.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat faktor internal dan eksternal yang dapat menyebabkan moral distress, serta dampak yang ditimbulkan adalah turnover intention, burnout dan bullying di tempat kerja.
