EKSPLORASI PENGALAMAN PERAWAT TERHADAP STIGMATISASI SELAMA PANDEMI COVID-19

Pendahuluan : Meningkatnya kasus dan kematian selama pandemic COVID-19, menyebabkan petugas kesehatan sebagai garda terdepan memperoleh berbagai tekanan sosial termasuk isolasi , stigma dan diskriminasi maupun masalah psikologis lainnya. Tidak jarang petugas kesehatan seringkali diberi label, ditetapkan sebagai bagian yang terpapar dan menghadapi kehilangan status dan diskriminasi karena stigma terkait dengan COVID-19. Tujuan: untuk menggali pengalaman perawat terhadap stigmatisasi selama pandemic COVID-19. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksplorasi deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil: Terdapat 6 tema yang didapatkan: Penyebab terjadinya stigmatisasi; Sumber stigmatisasi terhadap perawat; Bentuk stigmatisasi yang dialami perawat; Respon perawat terhadap stigmatisasi yang dirasakan; Mekanisme koping yang digunakan perawat; dan Dukungan sosial bagi perawat dalam menghadapi stigmatisasi. Kesimpulan: Mayoritas perawat mengungkapkan bahwa stigmatisasi yang mereka alami disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan, tingginya resiko penularan, dan informasi yang kurang tepat atau hoax yang diterima oleh keluarga maupun masyarakat. Untuk mengatasi stigmatisasi penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif dengan melakukan pendidikan kesehatan dan diskusi terbuka antara masyarakat dengan petugas kesehatan tentang Covid-19 untuk mendukung mereka mengambil tindakan yang efektif dalam memerangi penyakit, mengurangi ketakutan dan stigma.
